Georgia Milestone and End of Course Testing is scheduled this week for a large portion of BCSD students. Please encourage your child to do their very best. Please share with them the test taking tips provided below. We are confident they are prepared and we can not wait to see their great gains‼️ Thank you for all that you do to prepare your child for success!

Mrs. Jenna Hutto's 5th grade math group has been studying and reviewing for the upcoming Georgia Milestone testing next week. BCMS FFA Forestry Field Day team placed 5th out of 15 teams at the Area 6 Contest.

Placing 2nd and bringing home a plaque were Brennlee McElroy in Timber Standing Improvement and Mason Johnson in Estimating Cord Pulpwood Volume.
Ellie Jo Johnson placed 3rd by 1 point in Ocular Estimation.
Jailyn Varnedore placed 4th in Tree Disorders
Kate Johnson placed 5th in Hand Compass Reading
Franciso Lopez- Morales placed 5th in Reforestation(Tree Planting)
Hunter Hutto placed 6th in Tree Identification
Asher Carter & Hunter Driggers placed 6th in Forest Management
Ricky Chi placed 7th in Land Measuring

BCHS received a visit from Mr. Ty Thomas, Coastal Pines Lineman Instructor. Ty presented to senior students the career opportunities within the field of linework. A huge thank you to Mr. Thomas as well as Coastal Pines for providing our students with such valuable information‼️
