BCSD Police Department Encourages Students To Make Good Choices!
On September 10, 2026, Chief Hewett and Lt. Cooks presented “Making Good Choices” to 6th–8th grade students. The presentation addressed vaping, the differences between nicotine and THC vapes, and the consequences of possessing or holding someone else’s vape. Lt. Cooks demonstrated how vapes are tested, and both officers answered student questions while emphasizing the importance of building relationships, keeping students safe, and making good choices.
