Bacon County School District Board of Education members recognized and celebrated thirteen talented writers, grades K-12, who were named the "2025 Young Georgia Author" for their grade.

For the month of April, Hunter (Peyton) Tanner was selected as the Student of the Month. Peyton is an outstanding young man who is respectful, focused, and determined to achieve a successful future beyond high school. Raider Academy Coordinator Mrs. Chandra Green shared, “ He has shown tremendous improvements in public speaking and has become more outgoing as a result. Peyton has the ability to get along with anyone and values fairness. He truly deserves to be the Student of the Month.”
