Students enrolled in the BCHS Marketing pathway are literally getting paid to learn. Mr. Reed Burkett, CTAE Marketing pathway educator, is shown paying out dividends to his student Farah Patterson for answering review questions correctly! Mr. Burkett uses this paper money as an incentive for his students. Taking part in class and learning will always "pay off" in the end!

Mrs. Tiffany Ross' students in the BCHS Business pathway class, teamed up to practice communication and teamwork skills during a business themed family feud competition. Group work gives students the opportunity to engage in process skills critical for processing information, and evaluating and solving problems, as well as management skills through the use of roles within groups, and assessment skills involved in assessing options to make decisions about their group's final answer.

Our BCHS Lady Raiders and their outstanding coaches are on a roll!! Head Coach Sug Parker, expressed how proud he was of the BCHS Lady Raiders’ growth since the beginning of the basketball season. “Our Lady Raiders have bought into rewards and consequences while learning to acknowledge and follow their teammates.” Always proud to be a Raider!!

BCMS students in Ms. Price’s 8th grade Georgia Studies class, used Quizlet to review for an upcoming quiz about the Executive Branch. Quizlet is a free website providing learning tools for students, including flashcards, study and game modes. You start by creating your own study sets with terms and definitions. You can copy and paste from another source, or use Quizlet's built-in auto-define feature to speed up the creating process. Students worked in teams, and the winning team was awarded bonus points.

While in math class, BCMS 6th grade students ventured outside to create a human number line. Getting students active and involved helps give them visuals and a better understanding of the importance of their lesson.

Bacon County Primary second grade students are learning about arrays and repeated addition in math.

The GSBA Board Recognition Program is a three-tier process to achieve the highest level in board governance. The three recognition levels are Quality, Distinguished and Exemplary, with Exemplary being the highest level. Such an honorable award and achievement to be named the highest level, Exemplary Board for the SEVENTH consecutive year. Board members were presented their award and recognized by all in attendance at the January, Board of Education monthly meeting. We are beyond thankful for each of our Board Members and their endless dedication to the children of Bacon County.

January 17th, Bacon County Board of Education held their first monthly board meeting of the 2023 physical year. January began Ms. Stephanie Wright's term as District 2 School Board Representative. Knowing the education and wellbeing of our students are her top priority, we are very excited to welcome Ms. Wright to the BC team‼️
