In honor of Attendance Awareness Month, we would like to bring attention to this outstanding group of BCES educators. Students will indeed, follow the example they are shown. We are extremely fortunate to have a district full of team members who set an amazing example inside and outside of their classrooms. September 19, 2023, is National IT Professionals Day. Bacon County School District is extremely fortunate to have two exceptional IT Professionals on staff. We would like to express our gratitude to Mrs. Kayla Durance and Mr. River Helton for the outstanding job that they do to keep our technology running smoothly for our students and staff.

Today, Bacon County High School welcomed the inaugural mobile welding classroom provided by Coastal Pines Tech College, allowing our students to obtain dual-enrolled credits while receiving multiple welding certifications. This mobile welding trailer enhances BCHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, providing valuable hands-on experiences to students, and broadening their exposure to the field of welding and metalworking‼

BCES teachers, Mr. Callahan and Miss Yearty had the privilege of visiting our local Food Lion, with their students, for a Community-Based Instructional outing. Students gained valuable knowledge of what many are tasked with daily. Each of them now has the knowledge needed to locate and purchase selected items.
Throughout the school year, the students will visit local and area businesses and organizations. This allows the students to practice life and social skills.

A homogeneous mixture has the same uniform appearance and composition throughout. Many homogeneous mixtures are commonly referred to as solutions. A heterogeneous mixture consists of visibly different substances or phases.
At BCMS, eighth-grade students in Mrs. Strickland's Science class have been actively engaging in their lesson on homogenous and heterogenous mixtures‼ Great job guys‼
