Bacon Primary & Bacon Elementary Named Title 1 Distinguished Schools for 2024

Title 1 Distinguished Schools are Title 1 schools that rank in the top 5% Schoolwide Program in the state and have the highest absolute performance for the all-students group based on combined ELA and Math content mastery scores for the 2023 year. BCPS Principal Julie Taylor and BCES Principal Darrell Ellis were both presented with a sign and a certificate signed by State Superintendent, Richard Woods, during the January, Board of Education meeting. Georgia Department of Education Title 1 Program, celebrates the accomplishments of Georgia’s Title 1 Distinguished Schools. Congratulations to outstanding leaders and thank you for your dedication to providing the students of Bacon County with a phenomenal education.
