BCMS Sixth Grade Band Premiers JumpStart Night

Bacon County Red Raider Regiment Band hosted their first ever, JumpStart Night, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. BCMS Band Director Renee Garman, who is new to BCSD this year, shared that this event was designed to provide sixth-grade students who are new to the Fine Arts program, a "jumpstart" in learning and growing as a young musician.
During this event, The top BCHS students who are more "in tune" with their instruments, assisted beginners. Thorough discussions were held and any uncertainty they may have had was resolved as they all harmonized together in small groups.
There was an outstanding turnout to an amazing night filled with learning and growing as a team.
New and enjoyable ways for our students to learn is something worth getting excited about! Thank you to all who took part in making this night a success!
