Our Mission
-
There are two main goals that drive everything we do at Bacon County schools:
Academic success for every child we serve.
The development of good character in all.
The first goal is achieved by challenging students with high academic standards and expectations for achievement through innovative programming and instruction.
The second is achieved through a school, home and community commitment to character based on five core virtues: respect, responsibility, caring, honesty, and healthful lifestyles.
The District has also committed to a systematic initiative to engage families in their childrens' learning. Building action plans focused on family involvement. As required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Bacon County School System does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in admission to its programs, services, or activities., in access to them, in treatment of individuals, or in any aspect of their operations.
